Serve più democrazia sui posti di lavoro – We need more democracy at work

Brando Benifei in his intervention on December 14th in the European parliament about the Democracy at Work dossier: he has said among a number of things the following ones:

“Over these last few years I participated in the EU Project by FISAC CGIL and UNI EUROPA that analysed the effectiveness of the Directives for the Employee Involvement and made proposals to review such Directives. I am now really pleased to see that most of our proposals from that very EU PROJECT have been included in this Gaby Bishoff Dossier.
The time has come to review the 2009/38 Directive on E.W.C. to make the information and consultation rights. We will soon start working on the legislative initiative just on the reform of the European Works Council…”.

We, as Fisac CGIL and Uni Finance, are proud to hear our Project quoted in the Europarliament and to understand that our Project conclusions are now included in the Europarliament initiative to review the EWC Directive!
